Andre Balazs played the same night that I saw Randy Collins. It was great to see such talent share the same stage. He was solo, with a high quality, electric piano. The style was a bit of jazz, a bit of blues, and a reminder of earlier Tom Waits ( like the album "Closing Time" ), only more lively and playful. The CD that is available on his website is called "Bipolar Jukebox". Andre is backed by a band, and produced by Dave Shuman. Great Art! - Equisol , posted 03/26/06 |
